Tellus Power Europe and Spirii team up to link hardware and software, tackling fragmentation in EV charging across 14 European markets

Europe’s electric vehicle charging market is expanding rapidly, but industry attention is shifting from sheer scale to reliability and cross-border performance as adoption rises and climate rules tighten.
That change is reflected in a new alliance between Tellus Power Europe, a charging hardware provider, and Spirii, a Danish software company. Announced on November 21, the partnership combines Tellus Power Europe’s chargers with Spirii’s network management platform to deliver an integrated offering across 14 European countries.
The deal addresses a long-standing problem in the sector: fragmentation. Charging operators often rely on multiple suppliers for hardware, software, billing and customer support, creating operational complexity and slowing network expansion. Drivers, meanwhile, face inconsistent service when travelling between regions or countries.
Under the agreement, Tellus Power Europe’s chargers are designed to work directly with Spirii’s software tools. Operators can manage installation, monitor charger performance in real time, schedule maintenance and handle customer access through a single system. The companies say this reduces operational friction and allows networks to scale more efficiently, particularly for operators active in several markets.
The timing comes as Europe’s public charging network continues to grow, but concerns over reliability persist among drivers and fleet managers. Industry analysts increasingly argue that constraints on adoption now stem less from the number of charging points and more from uptime, ease of use and interoperability. Spirii has previously said that charging infrastructure needs to function seamlessly across borders rather than as isolated national systems.
The partnership also has clear strategic benefits. Tellus Power Europe gains broader market access without building local software platforms in each country. Spirii strengthens its position as a core software provider for large networks, appealing to municipalities, property owners and fleet operators looking for turnkey solutions.
More broadly, the agreement highlights a shift in the competitive landscape. As the market matures, alliances between hardware and software providers are becoming more common, challenging traditional sourcing models and pushing the industry towards more integrated and dependable charging networks across Europe.
